Let us start by saying we can never get enough of the Grammy-nominated production, songwriting and performing duo Helen Bruner and Terry Jones. Separately, they have worked with a who’s who of popular performers, but together they are something even more special.
Their most recent album, 2nd Overture, has received universal acclaim (as well as a SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award nomination), and it is a disc that keeps on giving. The latest single is a tasty midtempo with more than a touch of classic Philly soul in it.
“You Got Me Feeling” tells the story of a woman who is beginning to fall hard, and the duo’s fascinating vocal arrangement and groovealicious beat bring it all home. We’ve had this song on repeat for awhile, and now we can add a visual to our musical love, as Helen and Terry have just issued a video for the single.
