(September 25, 2026) SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award winning and Grammy-nominated husband-and-wife duo The Baylor Project have spent the past several years building an audience with their distinctive combination of jazz, soul and R&B. Now Jean and Marcus Baylor are bringing that sound to daytime television with “Good Life,” the new main title theme for the Tamron Hall Show.
Personally selected by two-time Daytime Emmy winner Tamron Hall, The Baylor Project produced, composed and arranged the upbeat track, which serves as the theme for the nationally syndicated show’s eighth season.
Jean Baylor leads the song on vocals and handclaps, while Marcus Baylor handles drums, percussion, handclaps and tambourine. They are joined by an impressive group of musicians: Shedrick Mitchell on piano and organ; Dezron Douglas on upright bass; Erick Walls on electric guitar; Mark Williams on trombone; Keith Loftis on tenor saxophone; Freddie Hendrix on trumpet; and Aaron Draper on percussion.
The result is a bright, celebratory number that combines jazz instrumentation with an accessible soul groove. It’s everything we expect from this longtime SoulTracks fave.
“Good Life” was released through Hollywood Records/Disney. Check out The Baylor Project performing “Good Life” below.
