After one false start and a PC crash, I am more than thrilled to drop a new issue of SOBO Magazine. We get 2009 kicked off with a very in-depth interview with Grammy-nominated vocalist Wayna who’s riding high with her sophomore effort, Higher Ground. Wayna waxes philosophic about the challenges of an independent artist as well as offer insight to the issues of domestic abuse. We then get to talk to our man Tom E. Morgan who has been down with SOBO since the days of way back! Tom E has finally dropped his brilliant debut project Tell Me What You Want and look for him to blow up for the remainder of the year!
From our hometown of Houston, Texas we bless the masses with some hip-hop courtesy of H.I.S.D (Hueston Independent Spit District) and these cats are the truth! Our man Michael A. Gonzales graces our pages with Ne-Yo that offers another facet to this talented young brother and we then take it home with a salute to the magic of Motown 25.
Georgette and I thank everyone for their patience and for all the beautiful sentiments regarding SOBO for the past several months. Your appreciation is what gave us the motivation to continue and you can look forward to many more years of this amazing publication. We have big things in store and more great features so stay tuned!
