(December 19, 2023) It’s tough for us to believe that we’ve been writing about uber-talented singer, songwriter and guitarist Raul Midon for almost 20 years, beginning with our 2005 review of his breakthrough album State of Mind. Midón’s breezy style has endeared him to jazz & pop audiences worldwide. His sweet, silky baritone delivery and poignant, emotional phrasing have been influenced by everyone from Bill Withers and Michael Franks to Donny Hathaway and D’Angelo.
Midon has been a favorite of other artists for years, and his talents have now earned him the attention of superstar EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson. Ms. Hudson discovered Raul on social media and invited him to perform on her celebrated show The Jennifer Hudson Show.
