Long lost Michael Jackson “No Name” remake unearthed

Among the boxes of yet-to-be-released songs recorded by the late, great Michael Jackson was a modified remake of the group America’s 70s hit, “A Horse With No Name.”  Well, thanks to our friends at SoulBounce, we just discovered that the recording has been set free on SoundCloud.

The song, renamed “A Place With No Name,” has an acoustic guitar opening similar to the America version, but it goes off on its own direction over time, including the insertion of some very 80s MJ harmonies.  We’re not sure we’re crazy about it (and can see why it was never released on one of his albums). What do you think?
