We don’t know whether to laugh or cry, but the Michael Jackson music train will keep rolling this November with the release of Immortal. Billboard magazine reports that the new disc will be “chocked full of newly discovered outtakes and alternate versions of old hits.” The disc is serving as the soundtrack for the new Cirque du Soleil show, The Immortal World Tour.
Immortal will include a lot of familiar songs in remixed, raw or mashed up versions, including remixes of some of Michael’s childhood Motown work.
Call us cynical, but one thing is for sure. We can expect the remaining stuff in Michael’s vault to be meted out, a bit at a time, for years to come, regardless of its quality.
