“Man In the Mirror” turns 30 with cross-continent collaboration

(January 18, 2018) Just about every music fan knows the song “Man In The Mirror,” the now legendary song from Michael Jackson’s Bad album. It was a song of self-reflection that hit the world by storm 30 years ago and still resonates to this day.

The song’s co-composer, singer and songwriter Siedah Garrett, has had a lot of career moments since then, and she has just celebrated the song’s three decade anniversary by re-recording “Man In The Mirror” in a duet with Korean “K-Pop” star BoA.

The re-recording is okay, but won’t make any of us forget the seminal original version anytime soon. However, we love Siedah Garrett and it’s always good to hear her again — and, of course, her wonderful composition. Check out this international collaboration on an old favorite, and tell us what you think.
