(July 8, 2024) SoulTrackers know of our love for singer Keisha Jackson, daughter of R&B legend Millie Jackson and one-fourth of the SoulTracks New Artist of the Year Award-winning group Daughters of Legacy (below is Keisha’s acceptance video from a few months ago). We most recently covered Keisha’s great dance song, “On the Floor” in February.
We’ve just heard the bad news that Keisha had brain surgery in May, and is now home and recovering. Of course, she is facing the expected complication of insurance and healthcare costs, as is explained in a social media post from Yacht Rock Revue, the fun band with which Keisha tours every summer.
This is devastating for such a talented young singer and for her fans. The band has started a GoFundMe to help with Keisha’s expenses. We hope you’ll consider making a donation to help out a young singer we just love.
