The second installment of the Saturday Soul Series, at Fox Theatre, will feature Grammy nominated brothers K-Ci and JoJo Haley who are celebrating the 20th anniversary of their multi-platinum selling debut album, Love Always. Their Co-headliners – the dynamic quartet – Dru Hil, will bring their dynamic sound and mesmerizing performances to this Labor Day show – inevitably showcasing their staying power and reasons for amassing many industry accolades.
The show will also feature multi-platinum selling group, Tony! Toni! Toné!, who are considered “durable guardians of the soul and funk tradition” (SoulTracks) to the thrill of their fans who have enjoyed these crooners for the past thirty years. Next, the perfect addition to the “Battle of the Bands” will, hopefully, delight show attendees with “Too Close” which is still their most played single, on radio, today. Hosted by MC Lightfoot, event tickets can be purchased at www.foxtheatre.org
“The Soul Series at The Fox Theatre, in Atlanta, and others around the world, are needed in order to further spread OUR message in OUR music. We need to spread the word of not only having a great time at a party; but to also come together on one accord as a community, as a people, and as one.” Shannon Steward, Avery Dey Entertainment
This upcoming show is a nice follow-up to the first Soul Series’ installment back on June 3rd with Jagged Edge, 112, Silk, and Bobby V – the packed venue was a sight to beholdand the energy level, galactic!!
“Although many of the most successful 90’s R&B artists have been ignored by the mainstream over the past decade, most continue to thrive by performing across the the world. R&B fans pack out venues in ever major city to hear the hit songs they grew up on and show these artists love. The shows are perhaps most effective when the artists come together to perform bigger shows and increase the exposure they can have for the r&b genre.” Tom Leo Owner/Founder | You Know I Got Soul
The final installment (September 16th) of the Saturday Soul Series, at Fox Theatre, in Atlanta, GA, for the 2017 season will bring Five-time Grammy winner, Lalah Hathaway, who recently released her latest single, ‘I Can’t Wait’ to the stage. She will be joined by Multi-Award winning songstress, Avery*Sunshine, who has been touring the world, delighting fans with songs from her latest project, Twenty Sixty Four, multi-platinum artist, Avant, and Grammy nominated artist, Jon B.
