(May 15, 2023) We felt like proud parents on Saturday as SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award winner Acantha Lang showed the entire U.S. what we’ve known at SoulTracks for a few years now. Performing on the CBS Saturday Morning show for the nation, Acantha and her band wowed the studio and the viewers with scorching performances of “He Said/She Said,” “Sugar Woman,” and “It’s Gonna Be Alright.”
The performance comes just a few weeks before the release of Acantha’s long-awaited debut album, Beautiful Dreams. But SoulTrackers already know these songs, and certainly know this emerging artist. The CBS segment opened with the quote “an artist destined for world domination,” and we couldn’t agree more.
