(September 18, 2026) Australian singer-songwriter Nardia has spent the past several years building a reputation for a sound that comfortably moves among soul, R&B, blues and jazz. Now the internationally performing artist is bringing those influences together on her new album, Own Every Scar, set for release September 18.
Recorded across Melbourne, Nashville, Memphis and Los Angeles, Own Every Scar is a 10-song collection centered on resilience, vulnerability, healing and self-acceptance. The project brings together a notable production team that includes Grammy-winning producer Boo Mitchell of Memphis’ Royal Studios, along with Darin James and Australian producer Ivan Khatchoyan of Choi Productions.
The album’s title track also arrives as a focus single, with Nardia describing “Own Every Scar” as a song about embracing the experiences — good and bad — that shape who we become. Musically, the track blends R&B, soul and blues, with Nardia and Darin James sharing the writing credits and James handling production. Mitchell mixed the song at Royal Studios.
Own Every Scar follows Nardia’s breakout single “Is It You,” which reached No. 1 on the Urban Influencer Independent R&B/Soul Chart in the U.S. She also earned international attention in 2025 when she finished in the Top 5 at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, reportedly becoming the only female performer to reach the finals among more than 400 acts.
With Own Every Scar, Nardia appears to be bringing those varied musical experiences into a more personal contemporary soul setting — one built around a straightforward message of accepting the past while continuing to move forward. Check it out below.
