This is Me

Detroit born singer/songwriter Trei now makes her home in Atlanta, but she was inspired by the Motown girl groups of the 60s.  Her debut album This Is Me shows her to be a pleasant vocalist with a nice midrange, though with less confidence in her falsetto.  The real surprise is the quality of her compositions.  "Invitation" and "Peace" are top-notch adult songs, and her "Complete Me" could have been a Cherelle-Alexander O'Neal duet 20 years ago.  While the programming of the background music here is okay, her music really deserves a full band behind it (maybe next time).  This Is Me is a nice introduction to this talented young singer/songwriter and portends good things to come for Trei.
