In 2019, Phonte linked up with KAYTRANADADevin Morrison, among other West Coast collaborators for his soulful Pacific Time EP. The maestro of raps and melodies surprised fans on Monday (8/5/2024) when he took to social media to announce the sequel to the 2019 project. Today (8/6/2024), Pacific Time 2 released on all major digital streaming platforms via +FE Music. This time around, The Foreign Exchange frontman sings and raps over soulful soundscapes by West Coast producers Focus…TrackademicksFoolie $urfin, and AbJo across four tracks. +FE Music affiliates Carlitta Durand and Carmen Rodgers also join for vocal support.

“I dropped the first Pacific Time EP in 2019. I really liked the idea of working with my friends on the west coast to craft these mini worlds. It gives me room to experiment and push myself even further. I had a lot of fun making this one and I hope it brings people joy.” – Phonte

Phonte & Nicolay teamed up to release Connected, their groundbreaking debut as The Foreign Exchange,  on August 24, 2004.  Over the course of 20 years, they’ve grown from internet duo, to Grammy-nominated group/collective, to renowned record label and indie artist incubator.
