(July 30, 2025) If you’ve been a SoulTracker for awhile, you know how we feel about singer supreme, Maysa Leak. Maysa is the most awarded female vocalist ever in the SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards, and she has continued to wow us over the years with her talents as a singer, songwriter, and, more recently record label owner.
Maysa’s most recent album, Music for Your Soul, was our 2023 Album of the Year, and it showed her to be an artist at the top of her game, more than three decades into her career.
2026 promises to be a very eventful year for Maysa and her fans. She is currently recording a follow-up to Music For Your Soul in the form of a new album, Milestones. Working again with longtime producer Chris “Big Dog” Davis, Maysa will be issuing the first single from Milestones on January 1. It will be the first of several singles before the album’s planned late Summer 2026 release.
The year 2026 will also represent another…ahem…milestone for Maysa, as she will be celebrating both her 60th birthday (in August) and 35 years in the music industry. It will also mark the 10th year of her popular MAYSA’s KITCHEN KARAOKE SUNDAYS on Facebook Live.
