There’s little more pleasing in music than seeing a new artist live who is so in the pocket, so in the moment, that you realize you’ve just witnessed greatness and have hope again for the future of music.
Last October, emerging artist Kandace Springs had just such a moment in her network TV debut on Letterman. Playing her lead single “Love Got In The Way” off her first EP for Blue Note, Kandace and her band put on a superb display of musicianship, vibe and feel.
