(March 3, 2025) Sometimes the paths and journeys that we take in our lives can be motivating for others, even if we are not aware. A great example of this is the case of singer/songwriter Wyn Starks. His perseverance and determination in the midst of major challenges have resulted in major wins, and also the release of his latest single, “Happy Again.”
While this Minneapolis native has been singing since he was a child, it was the loss of his job in the hospitality industry during COVID that led him to pursue his dreams even further. A season 17 appearance on America’s Got Talent further propelled him into the public eye, culminating in the release of his debut album, Black Is Golden.
His newest single, “Happy Again,” can also be considered an unintended inspiration. Accompanied by only a piano and stringed arrangement, Starks is able to confidently put his entire vocal package on display. While it is a ballad that talks about finding our way through life, it is the chorus that ultimately resonates with our current state of affairs.
“We’re all screaming for something to change.
Under masks where we all hide the pain.
It’s getting harder to smoke and oretend.
Is there a way to be happy again?”
With Starks’ second album forthcoming, “Happy Again” is a song that is dripping with hope and inspiration, and reflects the career arc of Wyn Starks.
