(August 2, 2025) When Wyn Starks first performed on NBC’s AGT stage in 2022, he was already signed to the prolific Curb Records. And the autobiographical, “Who I Am,” from his debut album, Black is Golden, was unquestionably an electrifying moment for this Minneapolis-born, Nashville resident singer/songwriter. Yes, Starks fell short of the reality show’s top prize of headlining in Las Vegas, but he proved that his multi-range, expressive tenor deserved to be heard beyond the AGT platform.
In addition to his First Listen spotlights – a gospel tribute to his late twin brother (“At the End of the River”) backed by the iconic Fisk Jubilee Singers, and a thought provoking ballad (“Happy Again”) – Starks has shared his astounding gift as a Billboard charting artist, touring occasionally in several U.S. cities plus a festival in Hamburg, Germany.
In Starks’ return to First Listen, “Dance All Night” continues the reliable production relationship with Built by Titan (AKA Fred Williams), this time sporting a funkier sound layering bass synth, subtle brass and string fills and juicy guitar hooks. Once the opening robotic vocals are out of the way, Starks launches his soulful high tenor into orbit as the dancefloor recipients respond, ‘everybody come on.’ And the sentiment behind “Dance All Night,” is for listeners to let loose, releasing the cares of the world while digging into the pulsating soundtrack.
Starks further explains: “Dance All Night” is about freedom, joy, and that energy you feel when the music hits just right.” Alongside Starks’ captivating lead voice is Williams’ behind the boards magic recalling old school disco funk with doses of current R&B/dance sensation, The Weeknd. So get the dance party rolling by checking out “Dance All Night.”
