First Listen: Young Whitney McClain goes all in on “Bombs Away”

Oregon native Whitney McClain grew up in a musical family, perhaps the most notable of which was her uncle, Marlon McClain, who was known both as the lead guitarist of the 80s band Pleasure and also for his solo career. Whitney credits music for getting her through difficult times as a child, including two successful brain surgeries.

Now based in Los Angeles, Whitney is moving to the forefront with her music. With Marlon’s help, 21 year old Whitney is releasing her debut song, “Bombs Away,” written and produced by Mauli B. Whitney says about the song, “So many of my friends are falling love and out of love and trying to figure out how to pick the right guy. When I heard this song it sounded like some of the late night talks I have with my girlfriends and I knew it was for me.”

The melodic song is a great intro to this talented new singer. So check out Whitney McClain below and tell us what you think of “Bombs Away.”
