(July 10, 2020) Can you believe it has been 14 years since the last R&B studio release from The Whispers? The legendary group has continued to please fans in concert, but we have definitely been missing new music. That ends today with the release of the very pleasing single, “How Long,”
The composition started more than three decades ago, when Whispers producer Magic Mendez mused on the situation in the world. The occurrences of 2020 led him to finish it and bring it to the group to record. Its message of love in a time of hate and despair seems right on time today.
Walter Scott, Wallace “Scotty” Scott and Leaveil Degree sound just great on the new song, and longtime fans will no doubt welcome both the music and the message of “How Long.”
