(December 14, 2016) A lucky man, a neglected woman, a happy ending—-a lot of songs about ‘forbidden fruit’ conclude with the new couple falling into each other’s arms as their salty exes fade off into the background. Vocalz Iz, however, states his steamy desires from afar in his latest single, “Jewel Thief.”
The first single from his debut album, Relationship Gumbo Redux, “Jewel Thief,” plainly states Vocal Iz’s desires and the toe-curling ways he would unfurl them…..if only she didn’t already have a man. And although his name may be unfamiliar, New Orleans native Vocal Iz has been a very active presence in R&B, performing with Harry Connick Jr at the well-known Tipitiana’s club in New Orleans and other recognizable performers like Jaheim, Ginuwine, Avant, Destiny’s Child and The Neville Bros. Vocal Iz’ mission statement, as a solo artist, is to interpret the life,and cycles, of love.
