First Listen: Travis Hall wants a “Kiss Goodnight”

(February 24, 2026) Travis Hall is what I call an IA artist. He’s intentionally authentic. That intentional authenticity comes through loud and clear on his latest album HeART Museum.

Hall calls the work his love letter to the classic soul era:  “Recorded with all live musicians, including strings, horns, and a full rhythm section. Every song is original, written and produced by me, drawing from the linage of Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye and the Philly/Motown/Stax tradition that shaped my musical foundation.”

Vocally, Hall is a ten toes down soul singer. He has a lush tenor voice, and he can summon the range the launch into the emotional stratosphere when the moment calls for it. “Kiss Goodnight,” the song featured in this First Listen, gives Hall a chance to display his vocal and lyrical storytelling gifts, on a song about him fighting a losing battle against the physical, spiritual, and emotional attraction to the woman in his life.

By the end the song, Hall is craving the one thing he needs to drift off into sweet sleep – a goodnight kiss. “Kiss Goodnight” is a breezy, mid-tempo ballad that has a hint of a jazzy swing. Check out Travis Hall on “Kiss Goodnight” here.
