Music fans haven’t heard from cool R&B’ers Tony! Toni! Toné! in a looooong time. But TTT is back, with founding members Dwayne Wiggins and Timothy Christian Riley being joined by newcomer Amar Khalil for the group’s first single in 18 years, “It’s a Beautiful Thing.” The song is a departure for the group stylistically, but they’ve always been risk takers, haven’t they?
“The single is going to take people for a spin,” says Wiggins. “It feels like Al Green meets the Beatles. We even have a version called the Al Green mix and the Beatles mix. Tony! Toni! Toné! has always been known to take chances, and we definitely are stretching artistically with this song.”
