(October 27, 2025) Toni Braxton has been top of mind for R&B and pop fans for more than three decades, and despite some financial and health setbacks, the chanteuse shows no signs of slowing down. The legendary singer returns this week with modern R&B performer and former PopLyfe member Kehlani, on a remix of the song “Folded,” the original version of which was a TikTok hit for Kehlani over the summer.
Written by a roomful of accomplished modern R&B writers and produced by Andre Harris, DK the Punisher, Don Mills and Khris Riddick, “Folded” uses double entendres to tell the story of a woman who is having second thoughts about wanting time away from her man.
The song is included on a new Kehlani EP of various duet remixes of “Folded” with such artists as Brandy, Tank and Ne-Yo. But it lays particularly well for the deep alto tones that Braxton brings to the proceedings.
