We first introduced SoulTrackers to Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter Timotha Lanae three years ago when she released her excellent album, Red. She was nominated for a SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award and we continued to follow her closely when she released the EP Rewind a year later.
Timotha is now back with a great new single that is getting us geared up again. She teams with fellow Minneapolitan, multi instrumentalist singer / songwriter Ryan Liestman (Jonas Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Miley Cyrus), to release the new soul and reggae inspired single “Open Road.”
“Open Road” is a real earworm that you’ll have a tough time getting out of your head. And it has a great message, too. Timotha tells us that “Open Road” is “all about letting go and moving forward. Inspired by a broken relationship that needed mending, ‘Open Road’ symbolizes a bright future with infinite possibilities.”
