(January 4, 2021) Songwriter, musician and producer Nigel Lowis has been a busy, busy man. He’s become the go-to producer for many current soul music singers who have one eye on modern production techniques and one on creating a classic R&B groove.
We’ve featured a lot of Nigel’s work on SoulTracks over the past few years, and now we are debuting a new project he’s put together with 15 year old singer, Tilly. Nigel began working with the talented young vocalist a couple years ago, and their first recording is the new single, “Life After Love.”
The song tells the story of an unrequited love, and a singer who wonders where she goes after being passed over for another woman. It’s rather mature lyrically for a teenager, but the alto-voiced Tilly handles it nicely.
