(January 16, 2026) It should be declared that Terri Green has led a double artistic life. Launching her career in Europe back in the late nineties, dropping several memorable dancefloor moments like “Big Fun” and “Night to Remember,” she is known as Terri B! (Terri Bjerre) who wowed the club community as a 3-time Billboard Dance #1 vocalist. And she also worked with or shared the stage with DJ/producer legends including David Guetta & Roger Sanchez.
Yet there was another side revealing an indie soul sensation. As Terri Green (also The Terri Green Project), the Washington, DC native has served up tremendous vocal performances on First Listens such as the upbeat “Turnt Up Tonight” (joined by multi-Grammy winner Randy Hall) and the sensual collab with producer/vocalist Jtreece on the Teddy Pendergrass & Gamble/Huff classic, “Close the Door.” In addition, Green was nominated as the 2025 Soul Tracks Best Female Vocalist.
Green’s latest First Listen and single, “That Something” digs into a complex romantic dilemma anchored by a vote of confidence in her partner:
“Gotta admit it, it just took so long to say/
That I’m still caught up on you/
And I need you to know the truth/
You give me that something like nobody else does.”
After Green’s caressing opening vocal ad lib, a sophisticated soundtrack is masterfully framed by co-producer Reginald D. Staggers, featuring a solid foundation from bass guitarist Thomas Stieger, an expressive guitar solo from Hermann Behrnes and harmony vocals from Marc Staggers. And Green’s masterful narration, also written by Reginald Staggers and Anthony Freeman, foregoes the hysterics and diva pauses to touch the listener’s heart on a positive outcome for a romantic future.
In recognition of her multiple contributions to the dance charts, Danish house producers Ear Funk spice up this ballad for club and radio remixes. Check it out!
