(August 8, 2022) The catalog of The Temptations is so deep that it has become a virtual treasure trove for remixers and engineers. And creative young talents have been finding a way to rework Temptations classics for more than a decade.
And so it is with an absolutely hot new remix of the much underrated Norman Whitfield/Barrett Strong message song “Ungenz Za Ulimwengu (Unite The World),” the powerful cut from The Tempts’ Sky’s The Limit album in 1971. Nashville-based boardmen Jeff Sojka and Aaron Chafin have stripped down elements of the original, pushed the beat up and reconstructed a song that sounds on point in 2022.
We’re loving this re-look at a real unsung gem of a song, and are reminded of how timeless its message is. Check it out and enjoy “Ungenz Za Ulimwengu (Unite The World)” all over again.
