(December 23, 2025) Like a cozy Isley Brothers boudoir anthem, those lyrics of hunger echoing from the hooky chorus of “One More Night” prove to be the perfect mantra from international jazz/soul multi-instrumentalist and producer Szymon Justyński. Hailing from Poland, the super-talented prodigy, who picked up piano and bass at a very early age, plays regularly behind Ray Greene (Santana, Tower of Power). Now, he’s spreading his wings with deep delves into solo work and using this futuristic bedroom soul to grab our attention.
Led by DX7-esque drops, ethereal vocals and powerful percussion using Mint Condition force, “One More Night” flows like a late-night lo-fi dream. And in the thick of it all lies Justyński’s smooth bass lines, which aptly support the fluttery softness and vocal beauty provided by his sister, IGA.
Most impressive upon listening is what’s captured in the fading moments of the dreamy three-minute sequence. All thanks to a piano solo entering the fold using Russell Ferrante gusto heard on Brenda Russell’s 1988 epic Top 10 ballad “Piano in the Dark.” It happens very late in the game, right before the wise use of the song’s fade-out — something that’s become more distant in contemporary memory in the world of pop music, but it’s a powerful moment nevertheless. That golden moment, while gloriously encapsulated by IGA’s phrasing of “gimmie some, gimmie more,” feels like a tranquil walk into the proverbial sunset, almost reminiscent of the weight and gravitas of The Weeknd’s “I Feel It Coming.”
This episode marks the first of several singles to come from the forthcoming concept album, Last Romantic Warrior, now slated for release in spring 2026. Giving what’s transpired here, we most definitely will have our ears and eyes open for what’s next.
