(November 26, 2021) Most soul music know the song “Don’t Make Me Wait Too Long” from the 1980 Roberta Flack track, part of her final album collaboration with Donny Hathaway. The song, written for Flack by Stevie Wonder, was the third single from the album and amassed a nice following.
Now, more than forty years later, we can hear the original, never before released Stevie Wonder demo, remixed and issued by The Reflex. It is a bright, version that is a fun revelation featuring a funky bass solo and Chic-like guitars throughout. We’re moving all over the room listening to this one.
