March 14, 2017 — Ella Mai is a singer/songwriter from London who is currently on tour opening for R&B sensation Kehlani. Signed last year by beat-master DJ Mustard, her music trends toward alt R&B with hip-hop accents and a take-no-prisoners attitude. Mai has already recorded 3 EPs, the most recent of which, Ready, was released late last month.
We feature here the opening track from her new EP, “Boo’d Up,” a smooth, head-nodding slow jam with an especially mellifluous lead vocal by Mai. Enjoy.
