(February 25, 2026) SoulTrackers may not know the name Sir Jonathan Williams, but they should. The singer has performed with both The Moments and The Rimshots, and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in R&B. More importantly, he has the kind of expressive tenor voice that takes right back to the Golden Era of soul music.
For his latest single, Mr. Williams delivers the kind of old school ballad that would have fit in one of those blue-lights-in-the-basement parties that had couples dancing close and singing softly in each other’s ear.
Produced by George Kerr and Yaiquab Be El, “It’s the Kind of Love” tells the story of a man trying to express to his woman the depth of love he has for her (“I’ll never let go / I’ll keep holding tight!”).
