(August 1, 2025) “One More Time,” the latest single by house and R&B chanteuse Simone Green, is a sensual, erotic banger. In most genres, this would be a contradiction in terms. In house music it is not. That insistent rhythm that comes from the pulsating percussion, church inspired organ and energetic bass line will pull dancers to the floor like they’re magnetized.
The sexy lyrics tell the story of an attraction that’s so strong it compels people to lose any inhibitions. “One More Time” is a high energy, hedonistic good time. However, the tune needs one more element to become one of those tracks that DJs love to play and dancers love to hear. A singer with the type of voice that can milk the arrangement for all its joy, passion, and sexual tension.
Simone Green is such a singer. She’s been deftly handling lush R&B ballads and house anthems throughout her career. Green is working musician who shared stages with blues, funk, jazz, and neo-soul luminaries.
