(August 22, 2024) Are you in love? If you are or at least think you might be, the object of your affection is no doubt on your mind all the time. Everything they do and say is good in your book. You’re doing fine on love’s Cloud Nine with this special person in your life.
That feeling is at the center of a new song called “24/7” by international recording artist Robbie Love. In the song, she tells her man that he’s on her mind 24/7 because of, as the Temptations once said, “the way you do the things you do.” And if her dream man needs any convincing of how much of an impression he’s made, Robbie lets him know by the end of the song that she’s thinking of him wherever she is – whether in the car, the store, or walking down the street. She’s hooked.
“24/7” is an upbeat jam that any lady who’s ever been in love can relate to. Robbie’s voice carries the vibe of a classic soul singer who says what she means and means what she says. It’s no surprise, then, that Robbie’s style has drawn comparisons to Minnie Riperton, Chaka Khan & Aretha Franklin. These artists were a big influence on her, but Robbie’s biggest influence was her mother, Mary Love, who was an internationally-known singer and songwriter herself. After being groomed for the entertainment business by her mom, Robbie went on to work with the likes of Grammy-winning blues musician Keb’ Mo’, jazz composer Roy Ayers, and R&B crooner Howard Hewett.
