(April 13, 2021) Actor/singer/producer Rob Murat is an artist who continues to develop his brand and inspire his audience. He produces music for a variety of networks, along with flexing his acting muscles on the Netflix series On My Block. Just two months ago, Murat dropped a Valentine’s Day anthem “Next To Me,” and hot off the press is his follow-up single, “Runaway,” a song that will undoubtedly be an inspiration to many.
With an arrangement focusing primarily on percussion and synths, “Runaway” is a tale perfect for our navigation through this global pandemic. While others paint a dark picture of our current times, Murat acknowledges the challenge but is hopeful for the future. He reassures us in the lyric “You know you can’t throw it all away, ’cause you went and came all this way. You know there’s a way and we can make it.” It’s a refreshing optimism that compliments the music and production very well.
While we wait for his full length album, slated for a release later in the year, check out Rob Murat’s latest offering of “Runaway.” His message is one that is helpful and healing, as well as being a soundtrack of sorts to our pending return to a measure of needed normalcy.
