(December 9, 2018) We’ve been following soul music chanteuse Lina since the early days of SoulTracks and she’s always delivered the goods, even if we sometimes had to wait a bit in between releases. More recent was our discovery of guitarist and producer Regi Myrix, who has made quite a name for himself working with artists such as Noel Gourdin and Blez.
In a brand new release, Myrix and Lina combine for a sweet adult midtempo number that has a sneaky groove underneath Lina’s always seductive vocals. “My Best Friend” is the story of a girl who is beginning to fall for a guy who she has been keeping in the “friend zone” for too long.
