Not me.” That’s how the great Phil Perry, a two time SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Award winner, describes his craft. A singer’s singer, he’s been wowing audiences for four decades, and he is still at the top of the game.
Phil is readying his 12th solo release, Breathless, coming on February 24, a much anticipated combination of the new and the old. And he leads off with a wonderful rendition of the Fred Sawyer composition, “Never Can Say Goodbye,” a chilling ballad that he absolutely nails vocally. It makes us excited to hear more.
