(April 9, 2017) Whenever the great Patti LaBelle sings, we make sure we listen. And it has been entirely too long since we’ve heard a new album from the all-time great.
So we were excited when Ms. LaBelle announced that she would be issuing Bel Hommage, an album of jazz standards, coming later this Spring. In the meantime, we have a tasty sample of the album in the brand new single, “The Jazz In You.” For those who think of Patti being limited to Gospel or R&B, well…you have another thing coming. This bluesy jazz number is just perfect for her one-of-a-kind voice, and she slays it.
