(May 27, 2022) Last year, hard rocker and KISS member Paul Stanley surprised the music world by releasing an album of sweet soul music. So it seems only fair that the R&B world is involved in returning the favor.
For the past year, legendary Chic founder Nile Rodgers has been collaborating with producer Oliver Heldens on a series of remixes and fun new music. The two now take on a KISS classic – one of the few KISS songs aimed at the dancefloor – in the form of a pounding cover of the 1979 hit “I Was Made for Lovin’ You.” And handling the vocals in the new cut is, appropriately, the famed House Gospel Choir, a powerful group that has always shown an affinity for blending styles.
With four on the floor beats and angelic harmonies, “I Was Made For Lovin’ You” is getting us moving across the room, and we think you’ll enjoy it, too. Check it out below.
