Selina Albright & NW FRQNC ask “Are You Still Here?”

(November 18, 2025) Selina Albright is an artist who embraces new adventures. Her father is jazz man Gerald Albright, and while some artists squirm under the spotlight of working in the same sphere as their famous parent, Albright leans in even as she forges her own distinct identity.

Selina Albright had her father as a collaborator on her 2017 album Conversations,  but the singer is clearly her own artist. She’s staked out her space in the indie soul space as a solo artist and now as the voice of the band NW FRQNC (pronounced New Frequency), which is making its mark in Europe with a growing presence on this side of the pond. The band has already released two songs, “New Frequency” and the playfully seductive “Come Over.”

The band reaches deep on their third release, “Are You Still Here,” which is the featured track for this First Listen. “Are You Still Here” is a song that finds Albright engaging in self-reflection. She asks the question that crops up whenever people move so fast and take on so many roles that they lose track of who they are and their purpose of life.

“Are You Still Here” will be featured on Waves of Change, which is NW FRQNCs upcoming album, but SoulTrackers get a sneak preview here. Check it out.
