(July 21, 2025) Australian singer/songwriter Nardia said that the question her new single “Is It You” looks to answer goes beyond physical attraction. That question has already been answered. “This song is about that moment of intrigue when you meet someone and wonder who they truly are beneath the surface,” Nardia notes. “Externally, the attraction is undeniable, but what lies beneath the surface?”
“Is It You” has a dreamy sound that’s soulful, bluesy and a little funky. Vocally, Nardia dives into the track’s lushness. She paints a picture of a person seeking the fill in all blank spaces that must exist between want to know and knowing.
Nardia is a standout performer on Australian blues and R&B scene. She’s starred in the popular Eulogy for a Genius tribute to Ray Charles while also leading the Etta James and BB King show. Nardia is also the lead singer of Australian blues, soul, and funk band Rambal.
“Is It You” is the lead single from Nardia’s upcoming album titled Own Every Scar. The released of “Is It You” comes on the heels of Nardia earning a top 5 spot at the 2025 International Blues Challenge in Memphis.
