(April 8, 2016) Okay, it is crazy that it has already been seven years since Maxwell‘s “comeback” album, BLACKsummersnight, and we’ve been waiting anxiously ever since for the second installment of the planned trilogy of albums from the somewhat reclusive star.
Maxwell recently announced that the second album, blackSUMMERSnight, would be released later this year, and we’re excited that he has FINALLY issued the first single from the album, “Lake By The Ocean.” We know that SoulTrackers will be ecstatic to hear new music from Maxwell, and this song is a great start. The midtempo grabs you right from the start and doesn’t let go.
