(June 25, 2016) SoulTrackers have been waiting seven years for new music from Maxwell, and it is almost here. blackSUMMERSnight, the long awaited second installment of a planned trilogy of albums from the somewhat reclusive star, is due next week.
Two months ago, Maxwell gave us a sneak peek with the single, “Lake By The Ocean.” And now he’s delivered a lyric video for a second song, the slightly electronic midtempo, “Gods.” The song is an intriguing tale of a man’s take on a relationship that clearly isn’t right, and it is full of metaphors that make it even more mysterious.
