(April 17, 2023) In the years since singer/songwriter MAJOR. came onto the music scene in 2016 with his ballad “Why I Love You,” the song has become a wedding staple. The Grammy-nominated artist has even performed it for numerous nuptials including his own to wife Nichelle in August 2020, more than 18 years after their first date.
Interestingly, when MAJOR. wrote “Why I Love You,” he had God in mind, not his future bride, but his latest love anthem “Baby Will You Love Me” was written specifically about his feelings for her.

Another lyric talks about getting down on one knee to pop the question, so this love song may serve as a backdrop to proposals/engagements for years to come.
“Baby Will You Love Me” – which MAJOR. has now performed all across Daytime TV – is a great feel-good tune with all the markings of a classic soul record. And the official video matches perfectly as it’s a throwback to the 70’s featuring MAJOR. and his friends having a good time and doing his “Baby Will You Love Me” shuffle, which is sure to please the steppers and line dance community.
