December 20, 2018 – M-Swift (Shousei Matsuhita) is a Japanese producer and DJ who characterizes his music as “sophisticated jazzy soul.” His latest album, Moving With The Changes, is a collaborative effort involving some of London’s brightest lights on the R&B/soul scene and reached #1 on the iTunes Japan jazz chart upon its release earlier this year.
We highlight here the track “Eye2Eye,” a mid-tempo head-nodder that gently swings beneath muted horns, strings, and the lovely lead vocals of Renée Castle. Castle is a renowned UK singer and actress who first rose to fame in 2001 appearing as Mary Magdalene in the feature film Jesus Christ Superstar and can currently be seen in the BBC TV series Bodyguard.
