As the title cut from her newly released album, the dreamy Rhodes-heavy ballad makes a comfy home for the Bulgarian singer-songwriter, who uses neo-soul embellishments and the brightness of Brandy to create a love letter that resonates with lovers of smooth sophisticated soul. Exposed in the sexy slow jam are lyrics of forevermore romance: “You know who I am/My love, my heart my inspiration/My dream, my soul, my everything.”
Nikol, who recently worked with R&B veteran Frank McComb, is fully emerging and blossoming into her own unique presence. And we are totally smitten with the work she’s laying on the canvas of today’s R&B with “Who I Am” being a musical epiphany.
