(April 28, 2020) Lenny Williams has been making great music for over four decades now and shows no sign of slowing down. We first heard him back in the day as the lead singer for Tower of Power, but that was just the beginning, as he put together a career’s worth of hits, including the now classic “Cause I Love You.”
Lenny’s had a career resurgence over the past few years, with a great biographical episode of TV One’s Unsung, and a string of adult soul releases. Lenny is now back with a brand new album called Fine, and it should really strike a note with soul music fans. And he has just issued a touching single from the album about a man who misses the love he desired, and hopes to rekindle it and move forward. The piano-led ballad shows the 75-year old singer to be in fine voice, and the track should find a receptive audience on urban adult contemporary radio.
It is always great to hear Lenny Williams, and “Say So” is a fantastic rekindling of our relationship. Check it out below.
