(April 30, 2021) 2020 was an incredibly rough year in so many ways, but one saving grace was the music that talented artists released during the pandemic. And that begins with singer and songwriter Ledisi, who wowed SoulTrackers (and the Grammy voters) with her album The Wild Card, and the single “Anything For You,” – both of which were big winners at last December’s SoulTracks Readers’ Choice Awards.
Now, Ms. Young delivers the tasty Ledisi Live At The Troubadour, the collection of her recent virtual live concert from the historic Troubadour theater. It is a refreshing and comfortable set and a reminder (sigh…) of the electricity that comes from a robust live performance environment. We simply can’t wait for that to become the norm around the world again.
