(November 22, 2018) Illinois-based singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist Larry Brown, Jr. has been making his mark working in support of jazz greats around the world. But over the last few years he has established his own following through his solo debut, There Can Only Be One, and his work with his band Colour.
Earlier this year, Brown also made his acting debut, accompanying Snoop Dogg on an episode of Empire, even as he began working on his upcoming sophomore album.
As the holiday approaches, Brown took a retro approach, creating a 60’s pop/soul direction on the cool single, “Christmas With You.” But who to sing it? Brown tells us, “When deciding who can really bring the song to life, without question the first to come to mind was Elisa Latrice.”
Well, Larry was right on that. Latrice’s expressive vocals add the right touch of fun to the proceedings, giving us a smile-inducing addition to this year’s holiday selections.
