(February 29, 2020) Nearly a decade ago, soul music fans fell in love with the plaintive “On The Ocean,” the moving national debut single from Detroit-based singer and songwriter, K’Jon. It shot to #1, and became an instant classic.
K’Jon didn’t again ascend to the top of the charts, but he’s continued to release solid adult soul music regularly. His latest single, on the Shanachie label, is “Live, Love, Laughter,” a tasty midtempo number that addresses the complicated nature of love, providing a simple answer for happiness in a relationship.
