On the earnestly confident “Stay on Your Mind,” the ever-charming vocalist assuages his significant other with lyrics that are at once assured and accommodating: “You can take control, I’ll return the favor if that’s what you want…Want to be the first thing on your mind in the morning/Like the song on the radio that you can’t stop singing.” Lattimore paints an appealing portrait of an ideal relationship in which personal attention and sensitivity are top priority atop producer Aaron W. Lindsey’s gently pulsating groove and melodic embellishments. The result is a relatable performance that will hopefully join the ranks of some of his biggest hits.
